Sleepwalk - Tennyson

No lyrics here, just a story.

If I was ever struggling with something, I'd walk through the water meadows where I used to live to clear my head.

There's this path that leads to this one particular field, the path is pretty hidden so barely anyone went there. This field had an old World War II pillbox in it that I would sit on and watch the sunset.

I remember walking down there one day, the sky was covered in these low, rolling clouds, so low that they seemed to take on the green of the grass below. I'd been listening to Tennyson's "Telescope" EP on my way there, as I got to the pillbox the wind picked up and "Sleepwalk" started playing.

The wind got so fierce I could barely stand up straight, but there was something about the look of those clouds and this song that left me feeling this incredible sense of calm, like for some reason I was exactly where I needed to be at that moment in time.

Whenever I hear this song I think about that.
